The dry-down is where this really shines; the sandalwood turns creamy and warm against the dark amber, almost like worn leather in a gallery. I keep catching soft musk on my scarf hours later, and it's subtle enough for the office but lingers nicely on a cool evening.
I sprayed this on before a dinner out and the sandalwood settles into something really elegant, almost like the city itself. The soft musk keeps it close to the skin without being loud, which is exactly what I wanted.
The dark amber note gives it a warmth that lingers for hours without being overpowering. I sprayed it on my scarf this morning and kept catching faint traces of it all day, which felt exactly like the refined neighborhood vibe it's named for.
