Pura Home Plus Review: Smart Features, Scent Performance, and Value

If you've been using a Pura diffuser for a while, you've probably wondered whether upgrading to the Home Plus is worth it. The Home Plus is the brand's premium smart diffuser, promising stronger scent output, better app control, and a more refined look. We spent several weeks using it in a busy household to see how it holds up in real life.

In this Pura Home Plus review, we'll break down the design, smart features, scent performance, and value. We'll also compare it to other diffusers and help you decide if it's the right choice for your home. Whether you're new to Pura or considering an upgrade, this review covers what you need to know.

Design and Build Quality

The Pura Home Plus has a sleek, modern design that fits into most home decor. It's slightly larger than the original Pura, but still compact enough to sit on a shelf or counter without taking over. The build feels solid, with a premium matte finish that resists fingerprints. The front has a subtle LED light that can be customized through the app, adding a nice ambient glow if you want it.

One thing we noticed is that the Home Plus uses the same scent vials as other Pura diffusers, so you can swap scents easily. The magnetic vial holders are secure and simple to use. The power cord is a bit short, but it's not a dealbreaker. Overall, the design is a clear step up from the basic model, and it looks good in any room.

• The Home Plus is slightly larger than the original Pura, but still compact enough for most spaces.
• The LED light can be customized in the app to match your mood or decor.

Smart Features and App Control

The Pura app is the heart of the Home Plus experience. You can control everything from your phone: scheduling, intensity, and even the light color. The app is intuitive and reliable, with no major bugs during our testing. You can set schedules for different times of day, which is great for waking up to a fresh scent or winding down in the evening.

One standout feature is the ability to control two scent vials independently. You can set different intensities for each, or even alternate between them. The app also tracks vial usage, so you know when it's time to replace them. The Home Plus works with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can use voice commands if you prefer. These smart features make the Home Plus feel genuinely modern and convenient.

• Set schedules for different times of day to automate your fragrance.
• Control two scent vials independently for a custom scent experience.

Scent Performance and Coverage

The Home Plus is designed to cover larger spaces, and we found that it does a great job in a living room or open-plan area. The scent throw is noticeably stronger than the original Pura, and it fills the room quickly. We tested it with the Santal Vanilla Car Set and Leather & Leaves, and both performed well. The scent was consistent and not overpowering, even at higher intensities.

One thing to keep in mind is that scent performance depends on the fragrance you choose. Lighter scents like Dew may be more subtle, while stronger ones like Pumpkin Dulce will be more noticeable. The Home Plus gives you more control, so you can adjust the intensity to match your preference. If you have a large room, this diffuser is a solid choice.

• The Home Plus covers larger spaces better than the original Pura.
• Scent intensity is adjustable, so you can fine-tune the fragrance level.

Value for Money

The Pura Home Plus is priced higher than the standard Pura diffuser, so it's worth asking if it's worth the extra cost. For most users, the answer is yes, especially if you value smart features and stronger scent output. The app control, scheduling, and independent vial control are features you won't find in cheaper diffusers, and they add real convenience.

If you're on a budget, the original Pura might be enough, but the Home Plus is a better long-term investment if you use your diffuser daily. It also comes with a few scent vials to get you started, so you can try it without buying extra fragrances right away. When you consider the build quality and features, the Home Plus offers good value for a premium smart diffuser.

• The Home Plus is a premium product, but the smart features justify the price for daily users.
• It comes with starter scent vials, so you can test it immediately.

Pura Home Plus vs. Other Diffusers

Compared to the original Pura, the Home Plus offers a stronger scent throw and more advanced app features. The original is more affordable and still works well, but it lacks the independent vial control and larger coverage area. If you have a big home or want more customization, the Home Plus is worth the upgrade.

When compared to other smart diffusers on the market, the Home Plus stands out for its sleek design and reliable app. Many competitors have clunky apps or weaker scent output. The Home Plus also uses Pura's extensive scent library, which is a major advantage. If you're already invested in Pura scents, the Home Plus is a natural fit.

• The Home Plus outperforms the original Pura in scent coverage and app features.
• Its design and app reliability give it an edge over many competing smart diffusers.

The Pura Home Plus is a well-designed smart diffuser that delivers on its promises. It offers strong scent performance, intuitive app control, and a premium look that justifies its price. If you're looking for a reliable way to fragrance your home and enjoy smart features, the Home Plus is a worthy investment. For those on a budget, the original Pura is still a good option, but the Home Plus is the better choice for most households.
